Crazy Diamond is a well-specified Hardy Commodore 36 from December 2001 fitted with the larger Perkins Sabre M265TI 265hp engines ( 1280 hours / last serviced Jan 2020 ). Polished and antifouled March 2020. Teak decks, bow thruster, trim tabs, battery charger, holding tank, Eberspacher Hydronic heating, KAB suspension helm seat, drinks fridge in saloon, liferaft and much more. First built in 1997, the semidisplacement Hardy Commodore 36 has the feel of a trawler yacht and combines modern technology with a classic, traditional style of boating. An indispensable flying bridge for summer days is fully fitted with a double helm seat and an island helm console. The deckhouse saloon offers an interior helm with a great driving position and clear sight over the bow and around the quarters. Sliding port and starboard doors allow fresh air in. The spacious teak interior is designed with maximum comfort in mind. A forward cabin and aft en-suite stateroom accommodate four, with two berth facilities in the saloon deckhouse. RCD Category B for 8 people.

2 x 1½” duplex stainless steel shafts, Manganese bronze P brackets, 2 x 20" handed 4 blade propellers, Cathodic bonding system to zinc anodes, Stainless steel electric Eltrim trim tabs, Stainless steel rudders and 1½” stocks. PSS water lubricated shaft seals ( 2018 ).


Construction: Initial lay-up Lloyds approved isophthalic gelcoat and resin. Subsequent lay-up orthophthalic resin. Heavy foam filled stringers. Bonded waterproof plywood beds and foundations. Hand bonded, resin coated waterproof plywood bulkheads. Solid bonded engine beds with integral plate steel mountings. Superstructure GRP with balsa and Trevira reinforcing. Bonded and encapsulated waterproof plywood beds and foundations. White hull, deck and superstructure ( original gel coat ) and blue hull band film covered in 2017. Jaycar Ultrasonic antifouling system with 2 x transducers above bow thruster and props.

Crazy Diamond is a great seaworthy boat and in very good condition with everything operational and regularly serviced. I am the third owner and have owned her since 2011. In my ownership we have cruised Holland and the Friesian Islands, the West Country and the Scilly Isles and recently a trip westabout to Wales, Ireland, Scotland including the Orkneys returning on the west side again via the Caledonian canal. No expense has been spared in her maintenance and with her engines recently serviced in Feb 2020 and new antifouling, anodes etc in March 2020 she is ready to go for 2020.
My only reason for selling is to purchase another larger boat.
Everything on the boat is operational apart from an intermittent energisation button on the flybridge bow thruster controls (bad contacts – works when you hold it in). The windlass main power switch has the end snapped off but is still operational by finger.
