1986 Valkvlet 1230

Shamrock is a Valkvlet 1230, beautifully built by P.Valk of Franeker in 1986. Dark blue round-bilged steel hull with bilge keels, DAF 118hp 6 cylinder diesel engine, new gearbox ( 2022 ), inside and outside helm positions and bow thruster. Lovely mahogany interior joinery, although some damage to roof lining from previous water ingress via large sliding sunroof. Aft cabin with twin berths, separate WC and shower compartments, saloon with L-shaped settee, galley and dinette and forecabin with V-berths. Wooden mast and steadying sail. Battery charger, inverter and Webasto heater. Her deck and coachroof, under the teak, show signs of corrosion, the teak itself is lifting and needs to be removed. Her rope fender needs sorting out and her external woodwork needs attention, hence her low asking price. Great liveaboard potential however.
