1972 Holman 40 Landfall Ketch

Beaulieu, Hampshire

Designed by Kim Holman and built by Whisstocks of Woodbridge in 1972, Silent Flight, is the last of the seven Landfall Ketches built. They were designed as comfortable, capable passage makers and built to a high standard with quality materials. They are shallow draft boats, allowing access to cruising grounds off limits to most yachts of their size. Carvel planked in Iroko on oak frames. External iron ballast keel. Bermudan Ketch rig with aluminium spars. Perkins 43hp engine ( 1997 ). Long list of recent work carried out by The Elephant Boat Yard. Gorgeous!
