1971 Custom Mevagissey Tosher

Hamble, Hampshire

£14,250

Boy Mark is a Mevagissey Tosher built in Porthleven in 1971 to a  Percy Dalton design. A previous owner used to fish with her by towing a 6' beam trawl. She went through a major re-build between 1983 and 1993 and then a significant professional refit between 2020 and 2022. Now she is sound and gleams throughout. Her hull is 20 foot long, carvel built, pine on oak hull with an Iroko deck from 1994. New stainless steel rigging, new running rigging, lightly used Penrose Sails ( 1994 ), new stainless steel fuel tank and a young Beta 15 inboard diesel engine on shaft ( 2016, circa 100 hours and recently serviced ). Surprisingly quick under sail, especially when flying all five sails. She is named Boy Mark after her builder's son.
