1969 Sparkman & Stephens S&S 34

Slipstream of Cowley is a Sparkman & Stephens S&S 34 from 1969, the second one out of the mould after Sir Edward Heath's Sydney-Hobart winning Morning Cloud. She has been in her current ownership since 2004, cruised initially and then stored ashore for 10 years. 2 years ago they embarked on her refurbishment including interior refit, new batteries, rewired electrical control panel, LED lighting and running rigging. Her very accessible and easy to service 2008 Yanmar 3YM30 with SD20 saildrive has had just 150 hours use ( saildrive inner seal being professionally replaced in October 2023 ). Standing rigging from 2007, which will need replacing, purely due to the passage of time. With their two tonne lead keels S&S 34s are renowned for their upwind performance and seakeeping.
